The Science Behind the Shine

A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied by hand to the exterior of a vehicle. It chemically bonds with the factory paint, creating a layer of protection that can't wash away or break down quickly like wax.

Unlike wax or sealants that sit on top of the paint, ceramic nanoparticles penetrate the microscopic pores in your clear coat—filling them and creating an incredibly flat, super-slick, and glass-hard surface.

Molecular Bond

Bonds at the nano level—not just a surface coating.

Superior to Wax

Lasts months to years vs. weeks for traditional wax.

Self-Cleaning Effect

Hydrophobic surface repels dirt, water, and grime.

Ceramic vs. Wax Comparison

Feature Ceramic Wax
Durability 2–5 Years 4–8 Weeks
UV Protection Yes Minimal
Hydrophobic Effect Strong Mild
Scratch Resistance Yes (9H) No
Chemical Resistance High Low
Self-Cleaning Yes No
Gloss Enhancement Deep Gloss Moderate

Choose Your Level of Protection

How We Apply Your Coating

Proper preparation is everything. A ceramic coating is only as good as the surface underneath it—that's why we take our time to do it right.

01

Decontamination Wash

We start with a thorough two-bucket hand wash to remove all surface dirt, followed by a clay bar treatment to pull out embedded contaminants like iron particles, tree sap, and road tar from the clear coat.

02

Paint Inspection

Under high-intensity lighting, we inspect every panel for scratches, swirl marks, and oxidation. If any correction is needed before coating, we'll walk you through your options so your car looks its absolute best.

03

Panel Prep & IPA Wipe

We wipe every surface with an isopropyl alcohol solution to strip any remaining oils, waxes, and polish residue. This gives the ceramic a perfectly clean, bare surface to bond to for maximum adhesion and longevity.

04

Ceramic Application

Working panel by panel, the ceramic coating is applied with a professional applicator block and leveled with a high-quality microfiber cloth. We apply with precision to ensure even, full coverage across every surface.

05

Cure & Inspection

Once applied, the coating needs time to flash and begin curing. We do a final inspection under lighting to confirm even coverage and address any high spots. Full hardness is achieved over the following 2–4 weeks.

The Benefits Are Undeniable

Hydrophobic Repulsion

Water, rain, and mud bead up and roll right off your paint surface, taking dirt with them. Less washing, less water spots, always cleaner.

UV & Fade Protection

Ceramic blocks harmful UV rays that oxidize and fade your paint over time. Your color stays vibrant and rich for years.

Chemical Resistance

Bird droppings, tree sap, road chemicals, and acid rain can etch unprotected paint. Ceramic creates a chemically resistant barrier.

Scratch Resistance

Rated 9H on the hardness scale—harder than most metals. Light scratches, swirl marks, and wash marring are greatly reduced.

Enhanced Gloss

Ceramic produces an incredibly deep, mirror-like gloss that takes your paint's appearance to a whole new level.

Long-Term Value

Protect your investment. Ceramic coating helps preserve your car's resale value by maintaining the paint in pristine condition for years.

Who Is Ceramic Coating For?

Great Candidates

  • New or nearly-new vehicles you want to protect from day one
  • Recently paint-corrected vehicles
  • Daily drivers you want to keep looking their best
  • High-value or collector cars
  • Vehicles parked outdoors or in harsh environments
  • Owners who want to reduce long-term maintenance time and cost

Things to Consider

  • Heavy scratches and paint damage should be corrected first for best results
  • Ceramic is not a substitute for Paint Protection Film (PPF) against rock chips
  • It won't repair existing damage—it prevents future damage
  • Proper washing technique is still needed to maintain coating longevity
  • The car should not be washed for 7 days after application during initial cure

Everything You Need to Know

It depends on the package. Our Ceramic Wax lasts 6–12 months. The 2-Year Ceramic Coating provides approximately 2 years of protection under normal conditions. Our 5-Year Elite package, with multiple layers and proper maintenance, can protect your vehicle for up to 5 years. Longevity is also impacted by washing habits and environmental exposure.

Ceramic coatings significantly reduce light scratches, swirl marks, and wash marring due to their 9H hardness rating. However, no coating is 100% scratch-proof. Sharp objects, keys, and heavy abrasion can still mark through it. For rock chip and impact protection, we recommend combining ceramic coating with Paint Protection Film (PPF) on high-impact areas.

Not always, but it's often recommended. Since ceramic amplifies the look of your paint, any swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation present will also be amplified and locked in under the coating. For the best possible result—especially on the 2-year and 5-year packages—a one-step or full paint correction beforehand is ideal. We'll assess your paint during the quote process and advise you honestly.

Maintaining a ceramic coating is simpler than uncoated paint. Use a pH-neutral car wash soap (no harsh detergents or dish soap), a soft microfiber wash mitt, and the two-bucket wash method. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes. For maximum longevity, apply a ceramic spray boost every 3–6 months. We'll provide full aftercare instructions after every coating application.

Application time varies by package and vehicle condition. A Ceramic Wax application typically takes 2–4 hours. The 2-Year Ceramic (including prep work) usually takes a full day (6–8 hours). The 5-Year Elite package with paint correction can be a 2-day process to ensure everything is done with precision. We'll give you an accurate time estimate during your quote.

Yes, but it requires polishing/machine buffing since it bonds to the clear coat. It cannot simply be washed or wiped off. This is a feature, not a drawback—it means your protection won't degrade from rain, UV, or car washes. When a coating reaches the end of its life, a light polish and reapplication will restore full protection.
